North Carolina Coastal Land Trust

The Coastal Land Trust conserves lands with scenic, recreational, historic and/or ecological value. Our mission is to enrich the coastal communities of our state through conservation of natural areas and working landscapes, education, and the promotion of good land stewardship. We have developed a list of our Top 40 priority conservation lands that we are working to protect - beautiful and resilient coastal places including forests, wetlands, wildlife corridors, rivers, and nature parks. Coastal lands are our first line of defense from the worst that storms bring our way, and we are focused on saving places that strengthen the coast and help protect us, our homes, and our communities.
